William McLennan

Will is a skilled litigator who focuses on tailoring solutions to achieve his clients’ goals.

Will has represented clients in hearings, trials and appeals at administrative tribunals and before all levels of court in Ontario, and he uses that experience and understanding of the legal landscape to advocate for his clients. His practice encompasses a broad range of civil litigation, emphasizing commercial matters such as breaches of contract, shareholder disputes, fraud, negligence and real estate issues. Will also has expertise in litigating employment matters for both employers and employees.

Before joining Book Erskine LLP, Will worked with one of its founding partners as an associate at Book Law. Before that, he honed his advocacy skills at Ontario's largest labour and employment law boutique and a well-respected mid-sized firm in downtown Toronto specializing in civil litigation and criminal defense. In recognition of professional excellence early in his career, Will has been included in “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch”.

Will earned his J.D. from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2017, where he received several awards, including first place in the Mathews Dinsdale Labour Arbitration Moot and the Robert A. Samek Memorial Prize in General Jurisprudence.

Beyond his legal pursuits, Will enjoys reading, cooking, studying languages and spending quality time with his charming Basset Hound, Phoebe.
