Rebecca Curcio

Rebecca is a pro-active problem-solver and a passionate advocate.

Rebecca maintains a broad commercial litigation practice and represents clients in a range of industries. She works closely with clients to understand their concerns and goals, and to find cost-effective, creative solutions for business disputes and legal challenges. She has represented clients at motions, trials and appeals in Ontario, including obtaining urgent injunctive relief.  Rebecca's practice includes particular expertise in disputes involving breaches of contract, partnership and shareholder disputes, cross-border issues, fraud, negligence (including professional negligence) and insurance (including coverage issues).

Prior to joining BE Law, Rebecca spent her articles and first few years of practice at some of Canada's largest and most respected law firms in downtown Toronto, where she gained broad exposure to and experience in both court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution. Before that, Rebecca obtained her law degree from the University of Western Ontario, in her hometown of London, Ontario. During her time at Western, Rebecca was the lead research assistant for Professor Richard H. McLaren, OC, and contributed to his report for the World Anti-Doping Agency's investigation into state-sponsored doping by the Russian team at the Sochi Olympics.

Outside of her formal practice, Rebecca enjoys giving back to the legal community by volunteering with Pro Bono Ontario and mentorship programs. She is particularly passionate about causes championing women in law and first-generation lawyers. Outside of the office, Rebecca enjoys practicing yoga, thrift shopping and watching terrible reality TV.
